Safety Services
VCM provides qualified Site Safety Officers for all types of construction projects. The Site Safety Officers implement and enforce Site Specific Health and Safety Plans provided by the Prime Contractor and approved by the Project Owner. VCM follows OSHA STANDARDS in 29 CFR 1926 and, Section 6(a) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 U.S.C. 655), EM385 1-1. VCM services include:
- Leading daily safety meetings
- Making daily inspections of various work activities
- Assisting the Prime Contractor in developing Accident Hazards Analysis
- Creating daily reports of work activities and documenting safety violations
- Correcting safety deficiencies as they are found
- Inspecting subcontractors on the project
- Leading and facilitating monthly safety review meetings
Pricing is determined by:
- Site Location and number of sites to be inspected.
- Number of inspections to be performed each month and duration of inspections.
- Size of site being inspected.
VCM Inspectors conduct unannounced Safety Inspections, frequency determined by the client. The Safety Inspection includes:
- A daily written report with pictures and or scorecard tailored to the tasks and activities performed on the site at the time of inspection. Report is submitted to the client and VCM President on the day of inspection for review.

VCM has EM-385 1-1 certified Site Safety Health Officers (SSHO) for government sites and contracted safety professionals as part of our team to handle any safety related situation.
Benefits of using VCM Full Time Safety Officers:
- All Safety Officers work for the client, report to the client, and enforce the client’s safety program.
- VCM Safety Officers submit a daily written report of site activities to the client and VCM president for review.
- VCM Safety Officers have a network of safety professionals that can assist them if needed at no extra cost to the client.
- There are no additional costs associated with this employee. All VCM Safety Officers utilize their own vehicles, pay for their own gas, and carry required insurance for the job site.
- No other hiring paperwork, incentives or perks are provided by the client.
- VCM handles all pay to the Safety Officer. Client receives a contract specified scheduled invoice from VCM.

Safety Training
VCM can provide OSHA 10 hour and OSHA 30 hour Safety Classes.
Safety Classes are delivered by Certified OSHA Trainers
OSHA 10:
The OSHA 10-Hour Training for the Construction Industry includes several topics valuable to construction related work such as Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, Electrocution, OSHA Inspection Procedures and more. Whether you need your OSHA card to meet employer or state-requirements, this course is for you. This basic 10 hour course is for all onsite Construction workers.
OSHA 30:
The OSHA 30-Hour Training for the Construction Industry includes several topics valuable to construction related work such as Fall Protection, Excavations, Scaffolding, Concrete and Masonry, OSHA Inspection Procedures and more. This course is more in-depth than the OSH10 and is more targeted toward Supervisors/Superintendents; however it is extremely useful to all construction workers, especially if you are trying to improve your safety culture.
Each student will receive OSHA cards (10 or 30) upon successful completion of the course.
